It is best to do interval training when working out. Interval training is a way an athlete brings up their heartbeat and brings it back down. For instance, alternates to different activities typically requiring changes of speed and degress of effort. I personally love to match up two different exercises into one (If that makes sense) When training my legs I mix up more slow paced weight training with some type of cardio. For instance in this video my lunges target my Quads, Glutes (Butt), and partally my hamstring. The Step up that I mix with lunges targets a different area of your Glutes, your MCO, Quad, and Abs. When doing these movements make sure you’re doing them controlled. Keep a straight posture and your abdonimals sucked in. When you do your step up make sure that you’re digging your lead foot into the platform and not picking yourself up with your back leg. You want to feel your leg soley working.
